You are invited to the Impact Economy Roundtable at Bates Wells on Wednesday 14 October 2026, during Dare to Overcome London 2026.
Dare to Overcome is a global movement for faith, freedom and human flourishing. From 12 to 16 October it brings leaders from business, investment, government and civil society to London under the theme Faith, Freedom and the Future, and the banner of The Economics of Kindness. The conviction running through the week is that, as technology grows more powerful, the qualities that distinguish trusted organisations become more human: judgement, purpose, dignity, belonging and care for others. Faith and belief are not a side issue in that conversation. For a large share of the workforce, customers and communities that global business serves, they remain a source of character, responsibility and the question of what capital is for.
That is the setting for this roundtable: Building an impact economy: aligning business success with human dignity and social impact. Impact investing asks how capital can create both financial return and social good. Traditions of religion and belief have long framed that same question as stewardship, justice, service and the dignity of work. The roundtable is a working conversation on how those ideas become practice: enterprises that employ and include people others overlook, partnerships that scale what already works, and an economy that creates prosperity and human flourishing together.
Bates Wells is hosting the session at 10 Queen Street Place, London EC4R 1BE, from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Dress is business or smart casual.
The morning opens with registration, coffee and networking from 11:00, followed by welcomes from Dr Brian Grim of Dare to Overcome, the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation and Faith@Work UK, and Luke Fletcher, Partner at Bates Wells. From 11:40, Impact Enterprise Spotlights will feature Enumerator Business (Marina), Pearl27, Horizon35, Share the Nuts and Grace Enterprises. A roundtable from 12:15, Building an Economy that Creates Both Prosperity and Human Flourishing, will include Dr Viva Ona Bartkus, Matt Downs, Mark Johnson, Don Larson and Mark Parritt. All participants then join a dialogue on scaling impact through partnership, before brief closing reflections and a light sandwich lunch and networking from 1:20pm.
Places are limited. Please reply to confirm whether you can join us. We look forward to welcoming you.
