Dare to Overcome contributes to accomplishing Strategic Development Goal (SGD) 16: “Promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, providing access to justice for all and building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.”
H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, former High Representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and one of the judges of previous awards, noted that “this award recognizes those who have taken an initiative to use their business as a platform for promoting positive change and tolerance in our society.”

The SDGs are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations cover a broad range of social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, environment and social justice.
