Dare to Overcome: Unity in Diversity

Next Annual Meeting: 8-9 December, 2024

With India’s dynamic socio-economic rise on full display for the world during its G20 Presidency, Dare to Overcome’s annual global gathering was held in New Delhi on October 4, 2023. The initiative’s theme is Unity in Diversity, in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Dare to Overcome (DTO) is the premier global event for business leaders to share and celebrate best practices, virtues, and values in being allies of differing communities and cultures in workplaces and marketplaces, thereby building peace.

DTO-India 2023 was also the first-ever international gathering of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) committed to fostering intercultural understanding in corporate workplaces.

SAVE THE DATE: 2024 edition will be 9th December!

DTO’s signature events are the King Husein Global Business & Intercultural Peace Awards and the Business & Peace Symposium.

Dare to Overcome began in Rio de Janeiro (2016) with the support of Brazilian President Michel Temer, then moved to South Korea (2018) under Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s patronage, then moved to Tokyo (2021) with former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama’s active support. The most recent global edition of DTO was in Washington DC (2022) when American Airlines, the world’s largest carrier, became DTO’s official airline and partner.

DTO’s annual global event has now moved permanently to India with satellite gatherings worldwide.

DTO convenes each year in Washington DC in partnership with major global corporations including American Airlines, Accenture, DELL Technologies, PayPal, Google, Coca-Cola Consolidated, Equinix, the Ford Motor Company, SAP, Texas Instruments, American Express, Intuit, Tyson Foods, Marriot School of Business, among others.

DTO’s signature event is the King Husein Global Business & Intercultural Peace Award given to CEOs advancing cultures of mutual understanding in their workplaces and marketplaces. Award winners include the CEOs and senior leaders from more than 30 countries on six continents, including the heads of Intel, EY, Hyundai, Tyson Foods, etc.
